Getting Better

Getting Long Lasting Solutions

There are treatments, and then there are solutions. You want stuff that works, and you want it to last. The key is to combine different treatments from multiple arenas to craft unique, personal solutions.

Many who experience psychiatric and sleep disorders find partial success at best. With decades of experience in interdisciplinary academic research, teaching, and clinical practice in fields ranging from psychopharmacology, depression and anxiety, to sleep disorders, insomnia and biological clocks, Dr. Edlund will try to craft combined solutions that work for you.

Conditions commonly treated: major depression, bipolar disorder, ADD, panic disorder, generalized anxiety, OCD, PTSD, schizophrenia and chronic psychoses, combined medical-psychiatric syndromes, insomnia, parasomnias (weird things people do in sleep), sleep apnea, biological clock disorders.

Major treatments offered: psychopharmacology, cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, light therapy, biological clock therapies, timed physical activities, dietary changes (food-mood), rest relaxation techniques from paradoxical relaxation to meditation.
